Bachelor of Fine Arts, mention in Sculpture, Universidad Arcis, Chile. In 2003 he received the DAAD Academic Interchange Scholarship to pursue a master's degree at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, Germany. His work has been exhibited individually and collectively in Chile and abroad, highlighting solo exhibitions in Göttingen Kunstverein, Germany, Joachim Gallery, Berlin, Germany, Gallery 713 Contemporary

He has received several funds for projects and awards such as FONDART on five occasions, Amigos de las Artes award on two occasions, Altazor award in 2003 among others. He has participated in Biennials and residencies, including the Biennial Paiz Guatemala, Biennial of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the Biennial Révélations / Le Banquet, Grand Palais Paris, France and Mosam Museum of Modern Art, South Korea. He has held various academic positions in different universities, and is currently Associate professor at the UC School of Art.
