Dispensing the landscape. Metal easels, white and gray paint. 2 rolls of natural grass, 20 meters each. Variable dimensions. 2011. Exhibition module, Librería Metales Pesados (Heavy Metals Bookstore).
This piece is created as an extension of the research carried out for the Project titled “Imbalance in the Landscape” and is inscribed within the curatorial project titled Sculpture from Nature by the curator Gonzalo Pedraza.
‘Dispensing the Landscape’ proposes a play on the idea of the portion of greenery that belongs to each one of us and for this purpose, two continuous rolls of grass of approximately 20 meters each have been laid out in the bookshop. The first of them is deployed from inside the exhibitions’ module towards the center of the bookshop to be “used by the visitors whereas the other is laid out on an adjoining sector and is completely rolled up and ready to be used once the other roll has been completely dispensed.
