I have thought about it many times’ proposes a play between reality and fiction, between good and the anti-hero, between imagination and the uncomfortable boundary of reality. One needs to think about the dematerialization of things, and how that disappearance leads to reality in order to understand the parody of the politics of representation.
‘I have thought about it many times’ is a project whose genesis lies in the imagery of the city and the space for relaxation, for play and the sound of children. It has to do with time lost and time found...
‘I have thought about it many times’ consists of a large volume that develops within the space of the gallery on the basis of the representation of a human figure that transforms itself into an object of play and fantasy, appealing to the imagery of the cartoon and the parallel realities such imagery produces.
The volume is constructed using approximately 230 inflatable figures, wood, clothes, air and fantasy.
Next to the main object, a series of monochrome relief woodcuts are presented that blur the boundaries of fantasy and unveil the small perversities that are only possible from the duality of art.
